Elopement Photographer Tuscany
An elopement in Tuscany is one of the most personal and meaningful ways to celebrate your love. No large guest lists, no complicated logistics. Just the two of you, an extraordinary setting and photographs that tell the story exactly as it felt.
I am Riccardo Pieri, a destination wedding photographer based in Tuscany with 15 years of experience photographing intimate ceremonies across the region. I work with international couples who choose Italy for its beauty, its light and the kind of atmosphere that only Tuscany can offer.

What is an Elopement in Tuscany
An elopement is an intimate celebration with a small number of guests or just the two of you. It can be a legally binding ceremony or a symbolic one, held in a private villa, a historic castle, a garden or an open landscape. The focus is entirely on the couple, the emotion and the experience.
Tuscany offers an extraordinary range of settings for elopements, from the rolling hills of Chianti and the landscapes of Val d'Orcia to the gardens of Florence and the private estates of the Siena countryside.

Venues I Work With for Elopements in Tuscany
Over the years I have photographed elopements at some of the most beautiful and exclusive venues in Tuscany. Each location offers something different in terms of light, atmosphere and privacy.
Il Borro is a medieval hamlet surrounded by vineyards and olive groves in the Valdarno area, perfect for couples looking for a completely private and immersive experience in the Tuscan countryside.
Belmond Castello di Casole is a restored medieval castle in the hills between Siena and Volterra, with panoramic views over the Sienese landscape and interiors that work beautifully in any season.
Belmond Villa San Michele sits in the hills of Fiesole above Florence, with stunning views over the city and gardens that offer both intimacy and grandeur. The light here is exceptional at any time of day.
Borgo Santo Pietro is one of the most exclusive estates in Tuscany, surrounded by nature and gardens with a deeply intimate atmosphere that makes it ideal for elopements and small celebrations.

My Approach to Elopement Photography
I work in a natural and unobtrusive way. My goal is to document your elopement as it happens, without interrupting the flow of the day or forcing moments that are not there. I use prime lenses and natural light exclusively, which means the images feel honest and real rather than staged.
Most elopement couples tell me they forgot I was there. That is exactly the experience I aim to create.

What is Included in an Elopement Package
My elopement packages typically include four hours of photography coverage, a selection of carefully edited images, a personal online gallery and delivery within 45 days. Every package is tailored to the couple and the location, so if you have something specific in mind I am happy to discuss what works best for your day.
You can find more details on the packages page or get in touch directly to talk about your plans.

Plan Your Elopement in Tuscany
Planning an elopement in Tuscany involves choosing the right venue, understanding the legal or symbolic ceremony options available to international couples, and working with vendors who know the region well. I have collaborated with many wedding planners and coordinators across Tuscany and I am happy to share recommendations or connect you with the right people.
The most important thing is to start early. The best venues and dates fill up quickly, especially for the spring and autumn seasons.
