I am Riccardo Pieri, a destination wedding photographer based in Tuscany with 15 years of experience and over 400 weddings photographed across Italy and around the world. I work with international couples who choose Italy for one of the most important days of their lives, and my goal is always the same: to tell their story with honesty, elegance and attention to the moments that matter.
A Natural Approach Built on Trust
The most common thing couples tell me after their wedding is that they forgot I was there. That is exactly what I aim for. I work in a natural and unobtrusive way, and people often say I have a gift for making them feel at ease in front of the camera. That comfort shows in the images. The smiles are real, the tears are real, the gestures are real.
I shoot with prime lenses, a 35mm, 50mm and 85mm, and I work exclusively with natural light. No flash, no forced setups. Just the light that exists, shaped and used to its full potential.
Fifteen Years in Tuscany and Beyond
I started photographing weddings in Tuscany over 15 years ago, drawn to the combination of extraordinary light, timeless architecture and the kind of authentic emotion that destination weddings tend to carry. Since then I have worked in villas, castles, private estates and intimate gardens across Florence, Chianti, Siena, Val d'Orcia and beyond, including destinations in Bali, Lake Como and across Europe.
Every venue has its own personality, its own light, its own rhythm. Knowing how to read a location quickly and work within it naturally is something that only comes with experience.
Who I Work With
I work with a small, trusted team. My collaborators Gianni, Chiara and Emma have worked alongside me for years, and when a wedding requires additional coverage I bring them in. Every person on set shares the same approach: present, discreet and focused entirely on the couple.
