Honeymoon Photographer Florence

Florence is one of the most romantic cities in the world for a honeymoon. The combination of Renaissance architecture, intimate streets, extraordinary food and the quality of light that changes beautifully through the day makes it a setting that deserves to be documented properly. I am Riccardo Pieri, a destination wedding photographer based in Tuscany, and I offer honeymoon photo sessions across Florence for couples celebrating the beginning of their marriage.

Honeymoon Photography in Florence:
What to Expect

A honeymoon session in Florence is not a tourist photoshoot. It is an intimate, unhurried experience that moves through the city at your own pace, documenting your time together naturally and without interruption. I work exclusively with natural light and prime lenses, which means the images feel genuine and timeless rather than staged or over-produced.

Most couples tell me afterwards that the session felt more like a walk through Florence than a photoshoot. That is exactly the experience I aim to create.

Honeymoon Session Packages

I offer three session options for honeymoon couples in Florence. All packages include carefully edited high resolution images delivered to a private online gallery within 3 weeks. Rush delivery within 72 hours is available as an add-on for €600.

How to Book Your Honeymoon Session

I recommend getting in touch before your trip to check availability and plan the session around the best time of day. Spring and autumn dates fill up quickly. That said, I occasionally have availability for short notice bookings, so it is always worth reaching out even if your trip is imminent.

Why Choose a Wedding Photographer for Your Honeymoon Session

There is a significant difference between a general couples photographer and a wedding photographer with 15 years of experience documenting love stories at the highest level. I bring the same approach to a one hour honeymoon session that I bring to a full day destination wedding: natural, discreet and focused entirely on authentic emotion.

The result is images that feel genuinely different from standard tourist photography. They reflect the atmosphere of Florence and the connection between the two of you in a way that lasts.

The Best Locations for a Honeymoon Session in Florence

Florence offers an extraordinary variety of settings for honeymoon photography. I choose locations based on the time of day, the season and what atmosphere the couple wants to express.
The Boboli Gardens offer privacy, Renaissance beauty and soft light throughout the day. San Miniato al Monte provides one of the most extraordinary views over the city, particularly at golden hour. Ponte Vecchio and the Oltrarno create a more spontaneous, urban atmosphere with the Arno as a backdrop. Piazzale Michelangelo at sunrise is one of the city's most beautiful and underused locations for photography.
